~ Lady goes Gaga over Silver Queen Hotel ~

An attempt to recoup the debt hovering over historic Silver Queen Hotel has been canceled. Less than 24 hours before the scheduled Olympic Coast Trustee sale, pop empress Lady Gaga has taken ownership of the $7.5 million lodging. The auction was to take place on the courthouse steps on April 1, 2010 but after receiving word that this Park City icon would have to shut its doors, 24 year old Grammy winner Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta personally delivered a check to the lenders.

Like Lady Gaga's extremely garish costumes, Silver Queen Hotel wears leopard print carpeting, beds with leather studded headboards and decadently adorned suites befitting a brothel. When asked what made her choose the Silver Queen she replied, "The Silver Queen Hotel makes me go Gaga".

Business will remain as usual on the first and second floors but Gaga has grander plans for the third and fourth. Construction will begin immediately, converting the top two floors into a 10,000 square foot private home with a heated salt water pool on the roof. The renovations will begin April Fool's Day 2010.
